“Caring Adults Touching Children’s Hearts” is a joint event held in the fall. Working with the Corps. of Engineers and TN Wildlife Resources Agency, Lighthouse Christian Camp selects approximately 60 children (30 girls and 30 boys) to come out and enjoy a morning of fishing on Center Hill Lake. Bass fisherman from all over Middle TN participate in the event by bringing their boats and taking out the children for a special day of catch and release. After fishing, the children and volunteers return for a wonderful picnic lunch and an awards program. Each child receives a special award certificate, a trophy and their very own fishing rod and tackle box.
If you’d like to participate in next years’ event by volunteering, donating new fishing gear or would like to make a donation for the purchase of new fishing gear, contact Michael Kilgore at (931) 529-0683.
